Betaine hydrochloride

Betaine hydrochloride is a supplemental form of stomach acid; low production of wich is associated with many problems including iron deficiency anemia, osteoporosis, allergies, gallstones, skin problems and an increase in bacteria, yeasts, and parasites growing in the intestines.

Therapeutic uses

Taken before, during or after meals, hydrochloric acid supplements may improve digestion of foods which contain protein and/or fat; though not for foods which are mostly carbohydrate.

Betaine hydrochlorideCautions

Use of betaine hydrochloride when a person already has normal or excessive stomach acid production or gastritis may increase the risk of gastric irritation or ulcer development.
