Rosemary side effects

Precautions:

None reported with wise use of the whole herb. If you ingest a lot, your urine might take on a reddish tinge. A rosemary-induced discoloration is not a sign of a problem, but reddish, bloody urine is a warning that something is wrong. If you're taking rosemary and see the symptom, don't panic, but do consult a doctor just to make sure. The essential oil is toxic, so you shouldn't ingest it undiluted. If you do, you might suffer some irritation of the stomach, intestines, or kidneys. You also may notice a skin reaction. People with epilepsy should be careful, because rosemary contains camphor, a volatile oil known for causing convulsions.
