What Ginkgo herb Is:

When Tyrannosaurus rex roamed the earth and pterodactyls ruled the sky, there was ginkgo. It's the oldest tree species in the world, and because it is almost indestructible—virtually invulnerable to disease, bugs, and pollution—each tree can live more than a thousand years. The deciduous ginkgo may grow 100 feet or more tall, with fanlike, Y-shaped leaves and yellow green fruits that resemble plums—at least in size and shape. In terms of aroma, they're repugnantly fetid, smelling somewhat like rancid butter. The Chinese began taking ginkgo several thousand years ago to ward off age-related mental decline. Science has belatedly validated that use, along with other medicinal applications.

The ginkgo tree is the only survivor of the world's oldest living tree species. It has many valuable effects including stabilising cell membranes, reducing free radical damage, improving blood circulation and enhancing oxygen and glucose use.
