Hemorrhoids prevention

An ounce of Hemorrhoids prevention

While some unfortunate people tend to be more susceptible to hemorrhoids than others, you can avoid many episodes by not straining or pushing during bowel movements. You can also prevent hemorrhoids in many cases by following the same regimen used to treat them—by getting regular exercise, drinking at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day, and eating a high-fiber diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables.

Hemorrhoids prevention: CALL FOR HELP

If you develop hemorrhoids, you'll know it. Symptoms include rectal pain and tenderness, itching, and sometimes bleeding. In many cases the first—and most startling—sign of hemorrhoids is bright red blood in the stool, caused by pressure during the bowel movement. The bleeding is usually minor. But dark, tarry blood could include a more severe internal bleeding problem and should be brought to a medical doctor's attention immediately.
