Elecampane side effects

In large doses, elecampane can cause diarrhea, vomiting, cramps, spasms, or even symptoms of paralysis. In a few very sensitive people, it might prompt an allergic skin reaction. When given to lab mice, the herb worked as a sedative. In other animal experiments, small dosages lowered blood sugar; larger amounts raised blood sugar and lowered blood pressure.
