Boswellia plant

Also known as guggal, Boswellia plant (Boswellia serrata) is a tree that is grown in India. A gummy oleoresin, also called guggal, is found in the tree trunk and consists of boswellic acids, which have antiinflammatory properties. Boswellia has been a favorite antiarthritic therapy among Ayurvedic practitioners for centuries.

Uses of Boswellia plant: Boswellia is used to treat bursitis and osteoarthritis.

Dosage Information: For topical use, buy the cream in a base of Boswellia serrata and standardized for boswellic acids. (Some creams also contain vitamin E.) Boswellia plant is also available as tablets and standardized extracts. Follow package directions for dosage information.
