Aloe vera side effects

Do not confuse aloe vera gel with aloe products made from the leafs inner juices (see the next entry). The gel and products made from it are entirely safe.

Aloes side effects:

Certainly not for long-term use. You might get abdominal pains and gastrointestinal irritation. Don't take it if you have hemorrhoids or kidney disease. The gel and the dried-leaf juice are two entirely different things. You have nothing to worry about if you stick with the gel from freshly cut aloe leaves. But if you ingest a product containing aloes, better clear a path to the bathroom for the next 6 hours or so.
